Beautiful Christmas papercut designs with wire and Bit logo. The designs are delicate and can be fold out for a three-dimensional effect.
Bit Vejle has resumed our old papercutting tradition and innovated it into a new, exciting and modern look.
The magic feeling
Bit Vejle tells magical stories with her scissors. Her imagery embodies humor and the ability to find joy in the small things, but often she also confronts deep seriousness and themes that are meant to evoke engagement and reflection.
Her works are captivating surprise packages that arouse both wonder and inspiration.
Ballerina Bulldog
Ballerina Bulldog is a design series where Bit Vejle has created a universe with the adorable ballarina, which is accompanied by a range of power tools to help her on her life journey - including the Bulldog that gives her "License to Bark" and the revolver with which she aims at her targets.
Time for reflection
The Museum of Paper Art was established in 2018 by internationally recognized psaligrapher Bit Vejle. The foundation-owned museum consists of 5 galleries with a total area of 830m2, which houses a core exhibition with works by Bit Vejle and temporary exhibitions with art, design and crafts in paper. In addition, the museum houses a paper workshop, a cafe and a museum shop.
Museum for Paper Art wants to be a breathing space where peace and reflection are at the center. A place where you can stop, forget time for a while and just let yourself be carried away. At the Museum of Paper Art, you'll experience world-class Slow Art. An art form that takes time - to master, perform and observe.
“If my art can make you stop and wonder for just one instant, I think that would be wonderful”
Bit Vejle’s form of expression, psaligraphy, literally means the art of drawing or painting with scissors. She opened her first show at The National Museum of Decorative Arts in Trondheim, Norway in 2008, and in few years her art has spread throughout Scandinavia and all the way to the USA and China. Her artistic work spans from the travelling exhibition Scissors for a Brush to commisioned work for several renown international companies, such as Hermès and Georg Jensen.
