Time for reflection
The Museum of Paper Art was established in 2018 by internationally recognized psaligrapher Bit Vejle. The foundation-owned museum consists of 5 galleries with a total area of 830m2, which houses a core exhibition with works by Bit Vejle and temporary exhibitions with art, design and crafts in paper. In addition, the museum houses a paper workshop, a cafe and a museum shop.

Bit Vejle’s form of expression, psaligraphy, literally means the art of drawing or painting with scissors. She opened her first show at The National Museum of Decorative Arts in Trondheim, Norway in 2008, and in few years her art has spread throughout Scandinavia and all the way to the USA and China. Her artistic work spans from the travelling exhibition Scissors for a Brush to commisioned work for several renown international companies, such as Hermès and Georg Jensen.
